Measured
For the launch of their new sustainability project ‘Measured’ HOLTE wanted bespoke composition and sound design to accompany their promotional video material. The project’s intention was to bring complete transparency about the lifetime carbon footprint of their products and kitchens. Helping their customers make environmentally conscious decisions and forging the way to more accountability in a highly impactful industry otherwise awash with issues relating to greenwashing.

As such the brief called for a musical narrative which conveyed a certain degree of severity and soberness with overtones of hopefulness and progression. To achieve this we provided a piece of music which transitions from a slightly ominous and serious opening to a feeling of subtle sanguinity. This was punctuated by sound effects such as the ticking accompanying a digital counter to help portray the time-sensitive nature of the subject. Emotionally relatable timbres such as strings and pianos were used to improve the ease of familiarity of the piece.
